Disaster Declaration for the State of Virginia

FEMA Notice Date: October 1st, 2024

On October 1, 2024, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) declared that federal disaster aid with individual assistance has been made available to counties in Virginia to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by Tropical Storm Helene on September 25, 2024 – and continuing. On October 4, 2024, two additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 8, 2024, seven additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 14, 2024, 1 additional county was granted individual assistance.
