Disaster Declaration for the State of South Carolina

FEMA Notice Date: September 28th, 2024

On September 29, 2024, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) declared that federal disaster aid with individual assistance has been made available to counties in South Carolina to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene on September 25, 2024, and continuing. On October 2, 2024, three additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 4, 2024, 2 additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 4, 2024, two additional counties were granted individual assistance, and on October 5, 2024, one more county was granted individual assistance and on October 6, 2024, 2 more counties were granted individual assistance. On October 9, 2024, 3 additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 10, 2024, 2 additional counties were granted individual assistance. On October 24, 2024, FEMA established the end date of 10/7/2024.
